Educational leaders can use a blog for an action research project. By documenting the research in stages in a blog, the leader can get real-time feedback from others in and out of their own network.
Blogging as a Journal
Journaling is a big asset to the reflection process. Reflection is ongoing. Events of today dim as they become yesterday and we lose tiny details that can be valuable to the overall picture. If we journal these events and our thoughts at that moment we can revisit them, evaluate our understanding and actions, and determine if we need to adjust or keep on the same course of action. Sharing your blog with people you respect and trust can create an avenue for receiving additional insight and wisdom from more experienced leaders.
